2020: the year of great upheaval
While trends have emerged from previous editions, the COVID-19 pandemic is shaking up business plans and decisions.
The 2021 edition highlights these changes, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing and IT infrastructure.
MARKED DECREASE IN INVESTMENTS IN CYBERSECURITY AND AI
Among the key figures of this study, more than four out of five companies (81%) say that the pandemic has shaken their security and AI practices, especially with the massive implementation of teleworking.
The NOVIPRO/Léger 2021 IT Study surveyed 500 decision-makers from companies with 100 or more employees about their IT challenges, issues and priorities.
Security, a corporate challenge
This year, cyber security threats are at the heart of business concerns. The past year was marked by several cases of cyber attacks and data leaks that exposed the deep vulnerability of organizations. Despite these alarming stories, Canadian businesses are not rushing to tighten their practices and are struggling to respond to the growing threat.

In addition to cybersecurity, the IT Study also addresses key IT themes such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing. The study also reveals the key sectors in which companies are planning to invest.
