Marcel Mitran, Distinguished Engineer & CTO LinuxONE - IBM

Mr. Mitran is the CTO for IBM LinuxONE platform and the corporate-wide technical executive for cloud on IBM Z.  He actively collaborates with IBM research, academia and development teams across IBM to drive innovation in the Systems stack. He works closely with partners, vendors and open source communities bringing best-of-breed solutions to the LinuxONE platform and IBM Cloud. He also collaborates with clients around the world, helping them succeed with new workload deployments on IBM Systems. With over 220 patents filed World-Wide, Marcel is an IBM Master Inventor. 

Eric Cothenet, Director - Technology Solutions - NOVIPRO

Eric Cothenet is the Director of Technology Solutions at NOVIPRO. With more than twenty years of experience, he is specialized in operating systems, mainframes, virtualization, software application implementation and cloud architecture. Responsible for several years of AIX and SUN servers for major customers, he has developed extensive expertise with business systems such as e-commerce and business intelligence. He holds numerous advanced technological certifications (CCRA, IBM and more). 

David Simpson, IT Architect - IBM

David Simpson is a certified (9i-12c) Oracle Database administrator with over 30 years of Oracle database experience and is an honors Mathematics, Statistics & Computer Science graduate of the University of Waterloo. For the past 12 years, David has helped hundreds of customers consolidate/implement Oracle and open source virtualized database solutions with LinuxONE. David has authored several IBM Redbooks, works directly with Oracle support & development and has presented at countless technical conferences sharing his customer experiences with LinuxONE. 

 

Esther Kim, Blockchain Sales Leader - IBM

Ms. Kim is currently the head of IBM Blockchain North America cross industry solutions.  She is responsible for go to market and sales execution leading the extended Hybrid Cloud Integration sales community.   In the recent past, she had served over 5 years in the Canadian and global markets consulting financial institutions on digital transformation journeys leveraging emerging technologies (mobile, APIe, AI, IoT, and now Blockchain). Ms. Kim is a certified member of the IBM Faculty Academy. She has completed the IBM Executive Business Management program co-sponsored by both Harvard and Boston Universities.  

John Ryan, Sr Certified Executive TI Specialist  - IBM

John F. Ryan, Sr. Certified IT Specialist, is an IT Economics consultant and a senior member of the IBM Competitive Project Office (CPO) IT Economics Team.  Over his 35 year IBM career, John has worked in Manufacturing, Development, Field Technical Support, Sales, and Consulting.  As such, he has developed a broad knowledge of numerous disruptive IT technologies, and their impact on economic practices.  John has helped develop many of IBM’s cost analysis methodologies used for IT infrastructure cost/benefit analysis and improvement.  He has received a number of IBM Outstanding Innovation Awards, and holds US patents for the “Cost Value Matrix Methodology” and “Infrastructure Complexity Index (ICI) Metric”.
